Nature is abuzz with energy in April as flowers and trees awaken from their winter sleep. Light sprinkles of rain, interspersed with sunshine, provide the perfect amount of nourishment to wake the world from its winter slumber. The sky takes on gentle hues of blue, dotted with puffy white clouds. Behr color Light Drizzle N480-1 calls to mind the soft blue sky present on an imminently sunny spring day, which is why we’ve chosen it as the Color of the Month.
Pairing granite, hard wood floors, cabinet knobs, backsplash and material for your kitchen can be challenging. We found a few different ways to help and pair paint colors with those substrates. Here we paired our BEHR Express Peel n Stick colors in Very Navy M500-7 and Painter’s White PPU18-08 to coordinate with the different materials.
Painter’s White PPU18-08 offers a clean, airy look that is both welcoming and refreshing. It is an excellent color option to use on your walls and trim, especially in a room with dark floors. The wall color compliments the dark flooring and brightens up the area. Adding a furniture piece in a white color keeps the room looking crisp and fresh. The earthy tones of the natural elements, like the faux animal skin rug and tree limb side table, add appeal while keeping the room slightly rustic. The texture and shape of these items create interesting features for the minimalist style of this room. The gold metallic accents and touches of pink warm the room and adds a snug peaceful vibe. All of these elements transform the area into a cozy, peaceful space to unwind with a comfy blanket and your favorite book.
White is the
perfect backdrop for almost any room. The nonappearance of color makes your
space feel clean and airy. A room with all-white painted walls can live on its
own, but also it provides a blank canvas to explore. White hues like White Veil OR-W14,
Cameo White MQ3-32, and Painter’s
are easy to coordinate with. Adding a pop of color to an all-white room can give depth and
visual relevance. It is a simple
way to refresh your space. A soft color will freshen up the clean and airy feel
or try a bolder color for a modern look that feels crisp and renewed.

Behr color Dusty Lilac N110-1 calls to mind the light lavender hue that adorns these candies, store decorations and gifts shared during this season, which is why we’ve selected it as a Color of the Month.

A small guest bathroom painted in a white hue can make the room feel light and airy. But, if painted in white with all white fixtures, the room can start to feel a bit blah after a period of time. This is the perfect opportunity to add color, just a splash will make a difference.
It is the beginning of a new year. The air is crisp and cold. From the privacy of our homes, we take in the peaceful feeling from the glistening snow-covered, once green fields. Underneath the blanket of white is a secret meadow that for now is hibernating, quietly waiting for its time to emerge. Until then, we welcome being inside, in a warm cozy place that relaxes our mind. We welcome the calmness as lavish parties and celebrations have come to an end. It is now time to put balance back into our lives as we turn our focus on the new year.
January is a time for nesting indoors, interspersed with nature walks outside for fresh air and rejuvenation. December is a time for get-togethers with family and friends. It also means weather that’s perfect for snuggling up indoors with a warm blanket and a cup of cocoa. Behr paint color Red Pepper PPU2-02 captures the colors of a dried chili pepper or smoked paprika powder, both which are perfect for recipes that help warm the body and soul on a cool December day. This paint hue spices things up in just about any room house all year ’round.
I spent six weeks this summer soaking up as much color inspiration as I could across North America as BEHR’s Color Explorer. Now, it was time to fulfill the second part of that role—translating the inspiration into an original paint palette. But turning raw experience into paint colors is no simple feat. In order to make this palette relatable, rather than merely a memento of my personal journey, it had to speak to a universal feeling.
Gatherings around the dining table this season will be turned into enjoyable memories as you share laughs, smiles and jokes with your loved ones. This month we wanted to share a DIY project that will definitely be a table topic this holiday season.
